PUSHCART CART 2024 NOMINATIONS
When it comes to nominating people for the various awards small literary presses nominate people for, I always say the same thing: it’s an impossible task. Every piece that ends up in The Racket Journal or on The Racket Website is a piece we think exceeds our editorial team’s exceedingly high standards. We truly believe that every piece we publish should be nominated for a Pushcart or a Best of the Net or whatever, and the process of sifting through them to try and find “the best 5” isn’t ever easy.
That said, we make these choices because we believe writers and artists deserve to be lauded for the difficult work they do. And even if we can’t nominate everyone, we hope that in nominating a few of our favorites we can draw attention to them, and to the work of everyone else within our tiny Racket Universe.
